Larry Harris, deceased 30 years ago, made famous Mardi Gras posters throughout the 1970s and 1980s. After his death, jealous lovers destroyed the original paintings by cutting each up and tossing over a French Quarter Balcony into the street. This is the only known surviving original painting of his famous Mardi Gras poster series.
